Sherlock has always been a very British-based production, mostly filming in Cardiff and London. For Series Four, however, filming will move outside of the United Kingdom for the first time, as some scenes will be shot in Marrakesh, Morocco.
Episode One of Series Four is already in the can, and you can view a gallery of photos from behind the scenes of filming here. Episode Two is currently underway, with it being announced that Toby Jones is on board as that episode’s villain.
It is unknown what episode the Morocco scenes are for, but it can be presumed they will form part of Episode Three.
