It turns out Moriarty is so popular with Sherlock fans that his small, posthumous role in Series Four is enough for him to be crowned the best villain of the season – and by a clear 5% too. Sherlock’s evil sister Eurus was hot on his heels, though. A long way behind her was the creepy Culverton Smith. And even further behind him was misguided secret agent Ajay.
